Watch fireflies
and catch prawns
@Amphawa
Between May and October
of every year is the period that tourists can see a lot of
fireflies.
The most appropriate time is around 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
A fireflys life span is not very
long. They live only about 2 weeks. The fireflies will be flying
around the mangrove trees on the river bank though they normally
live on Sonneratia caseolaris AKA Lampoo.

Catching prawns
For catching prawns, tourists have to prepare a
fishing rod and bait. Prawn catching usually starts around 6
pm.
The most suitable area is the area where the water is
still.
Tourists have to sit quietly for about 15-20 minutes.
After a prawn is hooked, pull the rod up and scoop it with a
net and then put the prawn in the container prepared. The
container should be left in the water in order to keep the
prawn alive.
