Tham Morakot, Unseen in Thailand
Tham Morakot on Koh Muk in Hat Chao Mai Marine National Park can be entered during low tide only. The entrance passage of the cave is rather small and low; therefore, tourists have to swim to enter the cave. Inside the cave is a secluded beach of white sand. The passage is in the west, and when the sunlight from the outside shines through, it will be very beautiful.
Tham Morakot means Emerald Cave, which describes the emerald colour produced by sunlight filtered through sea water.
For anyone who cannot swim, there are life vests provided.
