The great waterfall of Sabarb mountain range

                In summertime before the rising temperature make us gone crazy, we have to find a cool breeze air and nice green place to take a vacation. We found the interesting idea was going into the jungle or waterfall. One of the most striking waterfalls in Thailand, Phlio waterfall, is placed in Sabarb mountain range, Juntaburi province. In spite of being a headwater stream, it’s also a natural habitat of Tor soro.

             Phlio waterfall national park is situated in Sabarb mountain range that covers the area of Aumpermuang, Aumper Laemsingha, Aumper Kloong and Aumper Makarm, Juntaburi Province. It’s a mixture of tropical rain forest, mountain range and headwater stream which dominant feature are great waterfall that have water all year round and a large school of Tor soro. The park comprises an area of 134.5 square kilometer.

When we first stepped in, we could feel the cool weather; hear the sound of water, insect and birds. There’s also a trail going up to the waterfall.

              In the stream down to the waterfall, it’s the natural habitat of Tor soro living in harmony with real nature. We can swim by them and feed them with yard long bean. The stream is very perfect to be their home because of fresh cool water running all year round.

 There’re also two historical places within the national park. One is Alonggorn Pagoda which built in 1876 by King Rama V and the other is the pyramid of Phranang Ruerlom which constructed for the memorial of Phranangjao sunanthakumareerath’s death in 1881.

Complete facilities are offered like food center, restroom, seat, tenting ground, souvenir shop and the officers which available all day.

               The nearby attractions would be Numtok Klongnarai, Phlio fruit plantation and souvenir shop. Or if you want to visit Laewsingha beach, it’s just 20 minutes. And the city is about 15 kilometers away.  Phlio waterfall is located in the Numtok Phlio national park, tumbol Phlio, aumper Laemsingha, Juntaburi province. Contact number is 039-3500224. Open all year round from 8.00am-5.00pm.From Juntaburi downtown, take bangna-trad road to aumper  Kloong. The Waterfall is on the left about 1 kilometer before Phlio intersection. Go straight for 2 kilometers, the parking lot is right there.
