This monk Pra Luang Pho Tob spent a lot of
time traveling from temple to temple all over
Thailand. At the end of his life he lived and died
at this temple here in Petchabun.
Wat Chang Puak is over 300 years old and
there are many groups of small pagodas on the temple
grounds.

Luang Pho Tob was born in 1881 at Baan Huo
Lom Tambon Nayom, Petchabun. He became a novice in
1897 at Wat Chang Puak and became a monk in 1902. He
was strictly devoted to his practice his entire
life. His practice and work with the dharma became
very famous in Thailand and everybody knew his name.

When
he was alive he made a lot of protective amulets for
the people who came to him for help and this became
very popular with the Thai people.

When you come to this temple there is
plenty of parking and a lot of trees. When you enter
the Vihara you will see the glass coffin of the
monk. On the body they put gold leaf to preserve it.
Many people come daily and pay respect to this fine
monk and his memory.

Wat Chang Puak is not the only attraction you
can visit here. You can also visit Naam Bang Cave,
Tad Mok Waterfall and Wat Pratat and Wat Tribe Phum
which are all in the same area.
