There is a lot of travel and adventure here in the
Alps!!! You must go to Phu Hin Rong Kla as it is in the same
area. This is the highest area of Thailand and in the winter
months there is a lot of fog that comes in from the sea at
sunrise. There are also many farms that grow produce
throughout the year. This picture is one of
a cabbage farm.

The Cabbage Farm |
The trip to Phu Tub Burk from Petchaban is very
popular. From Phetchaban road number 21 through Lom Sak
intersection and then passed road number 203 then pass again
Amphur Lom Sak approximately 17km.. Then turn left on
Highway number 2011 and Highway number 2331 and the road
takes you straight up to the Blue Mountains National Park.
It is important to check the condition of the road due to
the weather as they roads are very steep and windy. There
may be a lot of holes and you may have to have an off road
vehicle to safely get thru the area.

As we approach our
destination through the sea of fog we see the Valley
district of Lom Sak. During the winter the air is
sparkling and crystal clear in the towering terrain of
the mountains. At the center of the mount there are
hostels and camping areas for travelers to stay, rest
and enjoy there explorations. It is so impressive to
spend the night and watch the stars in the
beautiful area of LomSak. It is so enlivening to
watch the sunrise thru the sea mist.
At this time
of day we can also watch the growth of the relative
vegetation...the cabbage farm. We are able to see all of
the natural habitats of the insects, the birds and
mother nature at her finest display.

Within the Mong village life is simple. The people
live in simple mountain huts and live with the basic
elements of nature. During the winter there are beautiful
blossoms that bloom called the Prunus Tiger Spring Flower.
These flowers are very bright and beautiful and make these
small villages look totally enchanted. There is another
stunning mountain flower which is a bright pink that grows
directly in the middle of the forest. There is also the
greatest all-in-one flower which is the peach Prunus Tiger
flower which is at its full glory in the spring. We are able
to see the growth route of these beautiful flowers from the
center of the village.

A foggy morning over Tub Burk |
This beautiful Prunus Tiger plant is the master of
traditional flowers of the area. Thus the woods are over
picked as the flowers tend to grow naturally in large
groups. So it is important to guard the wildlife from
further exploitation. Don't worry about the cold in the
winter as a cardigan and light wind breaker will do the
trick. Visit the Phu Hin Rong Kla and enjoy the beautiful
scenery and flower display as well. The Mong people are kind
and loving and will be there to take care of your every
need.
