Phra Nakhon Khiri
Historical Park (Khao Wang) in Petchaburi is located
on Khao Khiri.
It was mainly built
in a European style with Thai and Chinese influence.
It dominates the three peaks of the hill.

The
Grand Palace on the hill is a museum where some of
precious royal objects are kept. The museum opens
between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Khao Wang is where the first Grand Palace
located in Rattanakosin era. The park has a very
large area: thus, it might take at least half a day
to wander around the entire place.
The palace
was built on the three peaks of the hill.
On the middle peak, it is the stupa of Phra
That Chom Phet. On the east peak, it is Wat Phra
Khew, and on the west peak is the Grand Palace.
Nakhon Khiri Historical Park opens daily between
8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Tourists can go to the
palaces on the hill on foot or by cable car.
