The great monk, Mun Puritunto.
The great monk who love to study and has many students and popular in Thailand, Mun Puritunto. He went to everywhere to teach good things.
Tom Salika temple which had the great monk live and study is located on the mountains in the wild forest around a beautiful nature.
About 1810 1813 he went to Lopuree province to stay at Prayam valley in Singto cave, next he moved to Salika cave and had unexpectedly many experiences which he impressed.
When he stayed in this cave earliest, he felt in peace and nothing to think. And then he had a sick more and more so he could not do anything. He recognized that what people told that 4 monk died here by sickness so he thought be fifth. And then he prayed and studied hard and hard after that he got well more and he was not sick anymore.
After he went to find a peace in his mind, he run away from this cave about 30 -40 years and then new monk became head monk of this temple, Jear Kitjaro monk. This temple is the important place to find a peace in mind and is not far from Bangkok.
Inside this Salike temple has located on the stone valley around there has many store and shopping area and market to buy a souvenirs for friends. Around there has a beautiful nature and nice atmosphere that make you have a relaxation.
This Salika temple is in the deep cave on the gigantic stone about 3 meters but there has no stalactite. Now there are Buddhas statue of the great monk which is same of his body. The tourist and villagers go to pray for good luck and always make merit.
This in area of Salika temple is located on the mountain and in the deep wildwood but the nature around there are very good with a wonderful atmosphere to find a peace in mind and study a good subject.
The famous attraction tourists around there are Salika waterfall, Nang Rong Waterfall, KondanPrakran dam which is the longest concert dam.
