Mae Nuang’s Khanom Chak
In the Bang Prakong River area, there are a lot of Nipah Palms which usually grow in mangrove forest. The locals use its leaf as a sweet wrapper.
This kind of sweet is made of black sticky rice, sugar, and young coconut meat.
The reason that it is called Khanom Chak is because the dessert is wrapped with Nipah Palm leaves. (in Thai = Bai Chak)
