Lantern Chiangrai
On the way back from Mae Sai to Mae Cahn,
there were many shop selling lantern on Yeepeng festival. We stop by
to take picture and see the making of the lantern. They are made
from crafted bamboo frame cover with light white paper, putting the
candle in the lantern. The lighted candle created hot air and send
the lantern into the air.

This
creation is for the special festival as Yeepeng, Buddhist Lent, or
some other occasions. They believe in sending the bad luck, illness,
unfortunate away from them. Some Buddhist believe in worshiping the
Triple Gem in the sky.
