Khow Kaw in Phetchabun…

                                  Khow Kaw is a place where there has been a lot military action. Wars have been fought here not only by soldiers but by brave civilians and ordinary people who were trying to defend their independence. Many people were killed in this attempt at this place.

                                   From 1968 to 1982 Khao Kaw is the place where you are not allowed to enter because it is very dangerous because of the minefield. The mines were placed in the ground by the foreign communists and the Thai government collected the brave people to fight the insurgents for more than ten years. Both parties spent too much time and energy creating war. Once the war finished the people built a monument to honor those would had died fighting for justice.

Weapon museum

                                 There is a fine array of weapons from the war collected here. You can find many rifles and guns and destructive war and killing tools. You will find the uniform of the people who died here and also their accessories.

                                  This monument has 3 sides and stands for freedom and honors the people who gave their lives fighting for freedom. This monument has been built by private donators. It is 25 meters and it has a triangle base which is 2.6 meters. Inside they have the name list of the people who passed at this spot. This monument is to remind the Thai people that it is important to love and help one another in this life.
