The east cost of Thailand, especially
Rayong, Juntaburi, Trad province, are the
land the fresh fruit like mangosteen,
lanset, durian and many more. In May, they
often set up a fruit fair. This time I’m
going to take you to one of them holding on
in Juntaburi province, the world’s durian
festival 2009.

then moved to the fruit street where
all the shop and farmer meet the customers.
And you can really get a reasonable price.

The next activity is the fruit
contest which search for the best in each
kind such as durian, rambutanm, mangosteen
and sala. The judgments have to look at the
size, surface, pulp and importantly the
taste. And finally they’ll choose the top
three in each kind.

In the grand opening ceremony, the organizer
set it incredibly great. There were marching
band show, parachuting, light and sound show
and fruit beauty queen contest which impress
all the peoples.

If you’ve tried papaya salad, you should try
durian spicy salad in this fair. They also
set up a team cooking competition. In spite
of the taste and fun of the game, they
brought happiness and unity to the local.

For anyone who enjoys water activity,
there’re many kinds of water sport race. In
the evening, we went to Food Street finding
something for dinner. And there’re hundred
of shops and restaurants along both side of
the street. Certainly, the food drinks and
fruit are delicious. Furthermore if you feel
exhausted, let’s try Thai massage at Aumper
kloong shop. So good and relax!

There were OTOP product, cloth shop,
furniture shop in company with game and many
other fun activities. The center stage
presented singing, local dancing like
Ponglang, Fornhai and Likae.

This big festival was held for 9 days
and nights. Four hours from Bangkok, take
Bangna-Trad or motor way, go through
Chonburi bypass to Banbeung, Klang and
straight to Juntaburi downtown. Find the
transportation station and park there, the
fair is 100 meters away. Or it will take
about 5 hours if you take bus from Bangkok.
