There are many places for people to tour around, usually to the beach in the south during summer, and to the north during winter time. |

We arrived the city early morning at PTT gas station in Sarape, Chiang Mai. It is a big petrol station with large area for many cars to park. Friendly and impressive service that we received from this service station.
Usually there 3 categories of PTT stations. The 1st is called standard service, the 2nd is called platinum, and the 3rd is called PTT Park which giving full service, large area for convenience, cleanliness and many services.
This service station that we used is the 3rd category, they have souvenir shops, food store tourist to buy as the gift from Chiang Mai. Also for the long driving, food service with varieties menu in noodle and rice. Good service, clean and inexpensive.
For coffee lovers, this place is the place called Amazon coffee shop, and bookstore nearby. Also clothing for the tourist coming to north for winter season. The7-Eleven store is also in this area.
The first thing most tourists do is to pay homage to Wat Phrathud Doi Suthep, the temple is 14 km. up mountain from the city with the elevation of 1,053 meter above sea level. This temple is a historical temple and connected to all people in Chiang Mai. People from all over the world come to the temple everyday all year round.
On the way to the temple, there are many waterfalls we can see from the road. Wang Buao-ban the love story of the northern region fell in love with her lover from Bangkok and heart-broken ended in tragedy.
Montatan waterfall is considered the sight to see of the National Forest Doi Suthep. There are 9 levels waterfall from top to the lower level.
After pay homage to the famous temple, next is Puping Royal Palace for the king and the queen. The palace is the Thai architecture with natural surrounding trees.
