In the cold season, people like to visit Chiang Mai.  There are a lot of mountains there.

            Doi Ang- khang is in Fang District, Chiang Mai.  It is 137 kilometers away from Chiang Mai.  Then, turn left, go another 25 kilometers.  Doi Ang -khang agricultural station is the royal project to do research of temperate crops for opium crop substitution and replacement of destroyed forests.  The views of much kind of flowers and trees are excited.

               The first place to visit is Khum Village.  It is the village of Thai Yai, Burmese, and Chinese from Yunnan and Ho.  There are accommodations for tourists.  The way of life in this village is as Chinese’s way of life.

           Doi Ang - Khang Agricultural station isthe station to plaint outdoor flowers, flowers in the shade, plot planted roses, vegetable plantation.  The 80 year – garden  is the most beautiful garden.

Norlae village
This village is at the border of Thailand and Burma.  The people live here are Palong hilltribe.  They have their own language and culture.

Khop Dong Village
This village is for black Muser and Red Muser.  Children here are trained to guide around the village and explain their way of life.

Laung Village
Chinese people from Yunnan live in the village.  They are agriculturist.

Doi Ang-Khang is a high mountain. The weather is cool all year time.  Tourists like to go in the cold season (December – February). Flowers  are very beautiful in this time.

               Queen – tiger flowers are beautiful in January till the early of February.  The weather is very cold.  In the hot season, the weather is still cool and, it is very green, in the rainy season.  During the late rain to the beginning of the cold season, (October – November). the weather is very comfortable cool.

Tourists can go a day trip or stay overnight at Doi Ang -Khang.

Ang -Khang Natural Resort is at the entrance of Doi Ang -khang agricultural station.  It is a 76 – room – resort.  Amari Hotrl is a teak – wood – hotel.  Tel. 053-450110.

              The road no. 107 is the road from Chiang Mai to Fang, passing Mae Rim,  Mae Taeng, Chiang dow.  Then, turn left at 78 kilometers to Doi Ang-Khang.  It is another 50 kilometers to Doi Ang-Khang.  We can turn left at 137 kilometers and have another 25 kilometers to Doi Ang-Khang.

              From Chiang Mai, we can use the road no.1089, then no.1249.  It is a very exciting of the height of the way to reach Doi Ang-Khang.
