Music road  Below – Walking Street on Sunday , Chiang Mai

Along the Sunday walking street which is known as Sunday market, night musicians are real actors.

          There are two walking-street-markets, Saturday walking street market at Wau-Laay  street and Sunday walking street market at Pratuue-Thapae.  Sunday market is in the center of the city.  Many Lanna handicrafts are placed to be on sale and bargain here.  The night musicians are the highlights.

The most interesting band, sitting on the floor, is now playing modern music that is very musically.  Everyone around there stops to listen to the music and give them some money.

This I-san song is playing with an I-san instrument, Khaen.  The old lady is happy to dance.  Let’s see her from the following VDO. 

The other is Students’ band.  They sing modern songs.

We can listen to Lanna music from the old man, too.  We call oldman in Lanna language -Auy. 

There are some children in hill-tribe costume.  They dance along the street until 23.00 o’clock which means the market time is over.

Chiang Mai information Chiang Mai is a popular city to visit. It is an ancient city. The interesting paces to visit is little canals around the city. Local people speak Lanna language. A lot of tourists come here from late October until February. Chiang Mai is closed to Doi Suthep. That makes the city beautiful all year round. The temperature is always around 15 degrees. A lot of tourists come to visit all year round and some live here long. Some of them marry Thai people. The first thing tourists like to do is to pay respects the relic at Doi Suthep. It takes us driving 1 hour to Doi Suthep   Tourists who come to Chiang Mai should try spa, once.  There are many cheap and expensive prices either. Chiang Mai food is delicious, Food at Phalaad Tawan Ron Restaurant is very delicious. The restaurant is at the back of  the zoo. Patuu Thapae walking street marker or Sunday market is at the center of the city.  There are a lot of local handmade products, placing along both sides of the street. There are some middle road bands playing music.  People shows interesting local dancing and songs etc.,   There is also walking street market on Saturday at Wau-Laay.           The interesting area is Nimman-Haemin road.  Wawee coffee, the most delicious Lanna coffee, is in the area, Mimman-Haemin Soi 9.  Also, it is a nice place to see Doi Suthep
