Bueng Chawak is believed to be the 1^st underwater world in Thailand.

                It is developed under the project to celebrate His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej's on his 50th Year Accession to the Throne.

                Bueng Chawak is a freshwater lake filled with pink and white lotuses. In the past, it used to be a part of the Tha Chin River.

                The lake and surrounding areas have Wildlife Extension Center, a garden of indigenous vegetables, and an exhibition center for aquatic animals.

                There is a resort in Bueng Chawak as well.

                The Freshwater Crocodile Pond is located nearby the aquarium. It houses about 60 Siamese crocodiles of 1.5-4.0 metres.
