General Information
Khao Kradong Forest Park located in Samet Sub-district, Isaan Sub-district and Sawai Geek Sub-district, Muang District, Buri Ram Province, covered the area of 1,450 rais. Most of the area is the government own public property. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest park on October 1, 1993.
Topography
Khao Kradong Forest characterizes two small Khao Kradong Mountain and Khao Yai Mountain situated next to each other. In the khao Kradong area is consisting of plain and highland which is sloping down from Khao Kradong and Khao Yai eastward. There are shallow valleys and 2 reservoirs within. In southeastern Khao Kradong, there are Charake Mak Reservoir and Huay Talad
Resevior.
Climate
Climate pattern here can be divided into 3 seasons: rainy season started from June to November, winter started from December to February, and summer started from March to
May.
Flora and Fauna Generally, its forest classification is Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp. Flora found are Dipterocarpus turbinartus, Shorea siamemsis, hog plum, lac tree, cassod tree, beleric myrobalan, wild cotton tree, jute, etc. Lower trees found are Siam weed and various grass species. Besides, trees planted found are rain tree, plumeria, pine, pipal, mango tree, tamarind and
eucalyptus.
Fauna found are squirrels, jungle rabbits and various bird species.
Khao Kradong
Many reverential sites are existed. The important ones are the Bhuddhas Footprint, Pra Supattrabhopitr as well as Kachaseni House, Bhuddha Shelter and Daily Shelter which have been placed along the road to Khao
Kradong.

How to go?
By Car
3 accessible roads to Khoa Kradong Forest Park are as follows:
Take the Highway no. 219 (Buriram-Prakon Chai) from Buriram Province, approximately 3 kms long and then turn left to the forest park.
Take the Highway no. 226 (Nakorn Ratchasima-Surin) from Nakorn Ratchsima, approximately 130 kms long, and then turn left to the forest park.
Take the Highway no. 226 from Surin Province, approximately 50 kms long. You will find the interjunction. After that please turn left to Prakon Chai District approximately 1 km long and again turn left to the forest park.
